Radon Testing
There are two ways to test your home for radon. You can buy a do-it-yourself test kit and test your home yourself, or you can hire someone to test the level of radon in your home for you.
If you are planning on testing your radon level yourself you need to be sure to do exactly what that test tells you to do. If you do not follow the directions implicitly you can hinder the test results and possibly have to spend money on a system you may not need or worse you can live in a home with high levels of radon because the test was not done properly and showed low levels of radon.
Homes are rarely mitigated on one test result. Typicaly if a test result comes back high, another test would be done and the average of the two tests would be used.
We can supply you with a do-it-yourself kit or you can find them at most hardware stores.
The EPA reccomends that you have a qualified professional test your home for radon if you are buying or selling a home. We will be glad to met all your testing needs. Call us today to set up your radon measurement test.
